Over a year ago I bought a Schwinn Traxion Mountain Bike from Amazon. I have ridden the bike around town a lot. I don’t have a car, so I use the bike to get around town. The bike needed to be assembled when I got it. Not too difficult of a job but it helps if you have some experience in assembling something similar. I have experience with cars so that helped. I read the reviews on Amazon before I bought the bike. Some of the bad reviews were about the pedals coming loose and stripping the pedals from their mounts but that could be due to improper assembly. The pedals need to be tightened with a proper size wrench and tightened, so they don’t strip the mounts. The bike does very well on the streets. The gears shift smoothly. It does well up hills and down hills. It has one click gear shifters. Forward and back shifters. It is easy to shift, you don’t need to play with how far you need to push the shifters to get it to shift, which is great. It does very well around town. I don’t know how it does on the trails yet, because I haven’t had a chance to take it to a trail yet. It has dual suspension and 24 gears. 8 in the rear wheel and 3 on the pedals. The frame is Aircraft Aluminum. Overall I’m very satisfied with the Mountain Bike. For the price on Amazon you can’t beat it.
